CANTON DETAIL
CANTON STORY
This section was created by one of my production + research assistants, Hadleigh Nunes, in the parking lot of Olin College which is located in Needham, MA. Each year in the Fall the parking lot gets covered in pollen and turns yellow for a couple of days. This color is a result of rubbing the plywood around on a car that was covered in that pollen – much like a person’s clothes might be covered by pollen after accidentally rubbing against their car.
FIELD DETAIL
FIELD STORY
This section was created in a high-end farm-to-table restaurant in Massachusetts. The plywood was given to the chef who placed it in front of the grill in the kitchen and left it there for one diner shift. The marks on the plywood are made up of footprints from the chef and his undocumented co-workers in the kitchen, dropped food, splatter from the grill and spills.
